The Everyday Family Center offers an array of services for families and expecting parents including functional personal training, yoga, massage therapy, and bodywork.
Coupled with these services, we've assembled one of the most competent and highly regarded teams of pediatricians, teachers, nurses, midwives, and lactation consultants to lead Childbirth Preparation, Breastfeeding and Newborn Care classes, as well as breastfeeding support groups, parenting workshops on key topics such as: Vaccinations, sleep, eating, and others. In addition, we provide resources and referrals for your needs ranging from midwives, doulas, and lactation experts to chiropractors, acupuncturists, infant craniosacral therapists and nutritionists.
What we offer is a community for emotional support and empowerment as well as tools to improve your physical strength, balance, and stamina in order to maintain an active and healthy pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and everyday life.

Childbirth Preparation Classes
We start from the premise that childbirth is a natural process and that it is within every woman’s capability to have a positive and transformative childbirth experience. Our classes will help you and your partner prepare for childbirth using various relaxation, breathing, and visualization exercises and pain coping strategies as well as understand the physiological and emotional challenges of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This series is led by a Certified Childbirth Educator. Topics include:
- Comfort measures for labor
- The role of the partner and/or support person
- How to communicate your wishes to your provider
- Technology, induction and intervention
- Choices for pain medication
- Ways to avoid a cesarean section
- What to expect postpartum
- Breastfeeding and newborn care
The class is $340 per couple and includes the newborn care and breastfeeding basics. The class is offered as either a weekend intensive meeting, Saturday and Sunday 1-5 pm or as a 4-week course meeting once a week from 7-9 pm. Please contact the center for questions or to register.
Breastfeeding Basics and Newborn Care Classes
A three-hour class combining discussion, video, and visual aids to help you and your partner prepare for a confident start with breastfeeding and newborn care essentials. This class will help you gain a clear understanding of what you can expect from the first hours after childbirth to the first weeks and months at home with your baby. Topics include:
- Advantages of breastfeeding
- Positioning and latch
- Storing breast milk and going back to work
- Initial breastfeeding supplies and props
- Sleep
- Basics of bathing, diapering, swaddling, umbilical cord and circumcision care
- Colic holds, gas relief techniques, and how to comfort a crying infant
- Newborn health concerns
Breastfeeding Support Group
Bring your newborn and join other women to have your questions answered by a Maternal Neonatal Pediatrics Nurse with extensive experience in supporting new breastfeeding mothers. This group offers women an encouraging, supportive, and informative environment to help with breastfeeding. The group is facilitated by a Certified Lactation Consultant and meets every week. Registration Required.

Colic support Group
A two-hour meeting for parents and their babies with colic. While acknowledging the emotional difficulties of dealing with a crying baby, we will also provide tools to help with the sleep disturbances, feeding problems, and family disruption associated with caring for a baby with colic. Learn tips and tricks that will help your family survive (and even enjoy) these first challenging months. The group will be facilitated by a Certified Childbirth Educator and mother of two babies who had colic. Registration Required.

Mommy Bootcamp; Baby Small Group Classes
BABY WEARING STRENGTH
In this class you'll develop essential core strength to allow you to have fun with your child and minimize the aches and pains of childcare. We'll practice safe movements while you hold your baby in a carrier. A great way to start moving after childbirth and a solid introduction to our Baby Bungee Class.
BABY BUNGEE (POSTNATAL STRENGTH)
While your baby learns basic socialization and gross motor skills, safely twisting and jumping in a Baby Bungee Bouncer, you'll reconnect with your body developing your core strength, balance, flexibility and stamina, just like your baby! Our most popular class.
MOMMY BOOTCAMP
Small Group Training Class designed to get your heart rate up for an hour while you work on strength, stability, flexibility and core. We'll use stability balls, medicine balls, jump ropes, dumb bells and more in a circuit training set-up. Childcare is provided for ages 8 to 18 months.
