Tomas Anthony
Tomas Anthony, Founder & Creator of the Everyday Athlete®, and Partner in Everyday Athlete Studio, is on a mission to empower
people to transform their lives through play. Tomas believes in the transformative power of play and has created a pilot TV series titled the
Everyday Athlete: Playing to Live to share this idea. The series pilot (still in production) is about overcoming the seemingly impossible and
improbable including serious illness, addiction, injury, financial ruin and fear and reclaiming life. Tomas has experience working with a wide variety of
people and ages, from kindergarten through high school as well as Moms/Dads and Grand “masters” of more maturity. He enjoys both mentoring youth in developing
their physical potential and watching a "master" athlete experience new thrills. Tomas Anthony is recognized by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a
Performance Enhancement Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer, and Integrated Flexibility Specialist. A passionate surfer, Tomas created the first board sports
specific training program, Liquid Fitness®, to incorporate a scientific and progressive training approach where none existed before.

Alejandra Belmar
Alejandra Belmar, a founder of Everyday Athlete® & Partner in the Everyday Athlete Studio & Everyday Athlete Kids, has in-depth experience with strength training,
assisted flexibility and muscular release techniques. After the birth of her daughter Ella, Alejandra was inspired to
develop training techniques specifically designed for new mothers and mothers-to-be. These techniques focus on the physical
issues that arise from weight gain, muscular imbalances, and new energy demands. Alejandra strives to empower new mothers
to find strength and comfort in their post-natal bodies. Alejandra leads the Everyday Athlete's Pre/Postnatal Programs and has helped developed the
Everyday Family Center, a distinct and unique fusion of series of services and programs designed to support pregnant couples, new parents as well as children.
Alejandra also is a Partner in Everyday Athlete Kids, a functional training and tumbling studio just a few blocks away. This innovative, fun and imaginative children's movement space is
continuing to expand it's core tumbling programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
She has been a trainer for 7 years and is recognized by the NationalAcademy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer.

Jeremy Quinby
Jeremy Quinby, Partner in Everyday Athlete Studio, has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2000 and
a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist since 1998. He is also Certified in Post Rehab of the Spine, Shoulder and Knee. His
training style is a combination of dynamic core stability exercise, strength training, cardio-pulmonary training, flexibility, and
postural balancing. He has been practicing in Carroll Gardens since 2000.
Personal Training
Kathleen Hahn
Kathleen graduated from North Carolina School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Modern Dance. She has been personal training for the last 5 years,
and became certified as a yoga instructor in 2006 with Jonathan Fitz-Gordon. Kathleen believes strongly in the importance of practicing superb
alignment to get the most out of your workouts. She also believes in letting go of all thoughts so you can dance your heart out!
John Myers
John Myers is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer who has been involved in athletics
since his youth. He combines aspects of movement, core stability, strength and flexibility to create challenging sessions that are both
energizing and balancing.

Janice Lancaster
Janice Lancaster has in-depth experience with postural work, strength training, movement awareness, yoga,
and dance. She has been a trainer for five years, holds a BFA in dance from the NC School of the arts, follows the National Academy
of Sports Medicine model for functional training, and is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher. She is also inspired by studies in Body-Mind
Centering, Iyengar Yoga, and the Feldenkrais Method. Her interest in injury prevention/recovery for the athlete and professional
dancer led her to develop a training style that is rooted in body awareness and a process for cultivating strength from the inside
out.
Elements of Fitness
Karla Harscheid
Karla Harscheid is an Affiliated Anusara teacher who approaches her teaching and personal practice from a place of wonder, humor and authenticity. Her
classes create a safe space and encourage students to dive into the exploration of their own experience.
Clare Seidel
Clare Seidel is a mother, a certified pre-natal yoga instructor, and a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
She is both personal trainer at Everyday Athlete and the director of the pre and post-natal programs at the studio. She has also developed
the new Holistic Health and Nutritional Counseling program at the Everyday Athlete- “8 Weeks to Balanced Health”.

Massage
As part of our mission to help you improve your health and well-being, Everyday Athlete has gathered a team of specially trained and licensed massage therapists, bodyworkers and acupuncturists. Each therapist has been chosen for his or her specific understanding of the body and its healing processes.
Jeremy Quinby
With over ten years experience, Jeremy has refined an approach that combines elements of Swedish and deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy,
and craniosacral therapy. His focus is on freeing the body of restrictive neuro-muscular patterns, and allowing the body's natural healing response to
function more efficiently. Using the gentle hands-on approach of craniosacral therapy, he also works with infants to address feeding and developmental issues.
Richard Laub
Richard Laub is a New York State licensed, nationally certified massage therapist trained at the Swedish institute in Manhattan. He combines an intuitive
approach with a deep-tissue technique to provide specific, therapeutic work. A Reiki and Shiatsu practitioner, he also holds the Sloan-Kettering certification
for oncology massage.
John Myers
John Myers has been a massage therapist for 10 years, and has developed an eclectic style blending elements of
Swedish massage, deep tissue, shiatsu, stone therapy, reiki, cranial sacral, reflexology, and aromatherapy. With his well-rounded
background, he uses his intuitive abilities to integrate modalities as a client's needs arise.
Kunji Rey
Kunji's massages bring ease, comfort, and a sense of wellbeing to the mind and body by incorporating multiple
modalities such as deep & connective tissue therapies, Ayurvedic principles, Swedish and shiatsu techniques. Using fluid strokes, she
intuitively develops individualized sessions to address her clients' evolving needs.
Katarina Erlandsson
Katarina's work incorporates deep tissue, myofascial release and trigger point therapy into Swedish massage to address specific problem
areas, injuries and postural imbalances. The goal of her work is to alleviate pain while also restoring normal function to the body's soft tissues.
Emanuel Rudy
Emanuel's focus as an acupuncturist is on the complete health of the individual through an active approach of understanding disease and
enabling the individual to engage with their own healing process. His understanding of the body's inherent connections allows him to effectively
treat physical issues while also deeply impacting thought patterns and behaviors.
Everyday Family Center
Everyday Family is a community of highly competent team of teachers, nurses, midwives, and lactation consultants. They have joined forces to give you the necessary tools for emotional support and empowerment during and after your pregnancy as well as instruction to help improve your strength, balance, and stamina in order to maintain an active, fulfilling, and healthy pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and everyday life.

Sarah Moore
Sarah Moore has a BA from Brown University, an MA from NYU and an extensive background in education. Her work in the childbirth community began
after the births of her two children, Lola and Oscar. She is a certified labor support doula and childbirth educator and secretary on the board of
the Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York.
Maria Dugan
Maria Dugan, BS, BSN. Maria’s commitment and interest in breastfeeding began as a member of La Leche League, a peer-support group for nursing
mothers, and from her work at Mt. Sinai hospital in the Lactation division, where she spent over 100 hours interning under the Lactation consultants
teaching breastfeeding to new mothers. In her current role with the Visiting Nurse Service, Maria teaches all elements of breastfeeding and helps
families overcome specific breastfeeding challenges. Prior to joining the medical field as a clinician, Maria worked for Doctors of the World for seven
years, supporting international programs in Maternal/Child Health with American nurses, midwives and doctors. Maria earned her nursing degree from
NYU and currently serves as a visiting nurse in the Maternal/Neonatal/Pediatrics division of Visiting Nurse Service of NY.
Catherine Clark
Catherine Clark has founded Bluebird Midwifery, as her solo-practice, after attaining 20 years experience in women's health and birthing. She has been
a licensed nurse-midwife for over 10 years. She began her career as a birth assistant at the Maternity Center Association in NYC in 1986. She received
her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing at Columbia University in 1995. She then worked as a midwife at St.Vincent’s Hospital Midwifery Service and
the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center, where she also served as the Clinical Director for 2 years until the birth of her 3rd baby. Thereafter, she worked
as a midwife at Long Island College Hospital before co-founding the Brooklyn Midwifery Collective.
Everyday Athlete Kids
These programs were designed for children to explore their own physical abilities and the benefits of exercise. Through their bodies, children develop an understanding of how healthy habits of regular exercise make them feel both mentally stimulated and physically relaxed. They are also encouraged to develop interpersonal skills, cooperating in games with children whose abilities are more or less advanced than their own in a safe supportive environment.
Coach Mason
Mason has been dancing since the age of ten and teaching since the age of fifteen. He has worked as a dancer and choreographer for television shows, commercials,
Barbadian recording artists, the hotel circuit and on every major stage on his native island of Barbados. After relocating to New York in 1999, Mason continued to
study the basics of hip-hop, jazz and basic ballet at the Broadway Dance Center (BDC). As a member and assistant teacher with Beverly Brown's dance company, P-Funk,
performances included: model/dancer for Everlast Sportswear at Sports Authority NY, P-Funk dance company's "The Family Feud" 2000, Booty dancer (CBS Early Show),
Piton Beer TV commercial for St. Lucia, and choreographer's performance outlet 2002 at BDC. Mason is an accomplished, certified gymnastics instructor, acrobatic
tumbler and was the director of Bija's acro-tumbling classes.
Michelle Rodriguez
Michelle’s background in competitive gymnastics and love of athleticism and body awareness, led her to become a practitioner for various movement and tumbling classes.
Throughout her gymnastics career, Michelle learned physical, mental, and emotional awareness that stuck with her even after she retired from competition. Soon after,
Michelle began leading various movement classes for infants, youths, and competitive athletes for the past ten years. She approaches each class with a “have fun”
attitude and acknowledges each member’s progression in respect to their own pace.
In addition, Michelle graduated from the prestigious Swedish Institute and achieved a NYS License and National Certification for Massage Therapy
